Special Order Information
What is a "Special-Order"?
A special order is ordered specifically for you. It is the same system as ordering in a bridal salon -- you select the style, the color and the size and place an order. Your order is then transmitted to the manufacturer and either purchased from them on your behalf or placed on their production schedule where it will be cut and constructed along with other similar items in the normal course of production.
Will it Fit?
A size chart is provided for each item. Every every manufacturer has a different standard; the correct chart is shown with each garment. The size charts are accurate. Taking proper measurements is vital to a good fit. Just guessing or "fudging" can create a problem we cannot fix for you.
For tips on measuring, click here. Alterations can be made locally to finalize the fit. If your child is beyond the measurements in the size chart, please do not try to force a fit.
Will it Arrive in Time?
An approximate time frame necessary to make up your garment(s) is included on the feature page with every special order garment - these are approximate. Acceptance of your order is based on the Requested Delivery Date you provide on your order. If it is a rush order, be sure to include the rush order fees and expedited shipping with your order to avoid delays. If your date is less than a week beyond the suggested time frame (which does not include shipping time) we strongly suggest that you include expedited shipping. The Requested Delivery Date can not be changed once the order is placed and accepted. If you do not provide an actual RDD, your order will be placed together with the next order(s) going into that manufacturer and delivered when available.
You will be notified by email if your Requested Delivery Date cannot be met. We all do our utmost to meet your needs, but it is not always possible. Watch your email in case we need to contact you for any reason. If your date is after the normal time frame posted with the item you should be fine but exceptions can occur from time to time. If you are asking for a rush order, it can be either accepted or declined by the manufacturer. If it is declined, an email will be sent notifying you.
Is it Returnable?
A special order item is made/purchased specifically for you to fulfill your order based on size, color and style you request. We cannot return it to the manufacturer. Therefore, it is not returnable or exchangeable. Defects (which are very rare) will be corrected as quickly as possible - contact us immediately upon delivery by email. No change in size, color or style can be made.
Changes in a Special Order
Please select your style, color and size very carefully before submitting your order for special order items. Once the order has been placed it cannot be changed or cancelled.
